I'm all for diversity, but I don't think foreign students belong here.
Why?
Because most of them set an example that the local numpties just can't follow. Foreign students' parents pay big bucks to send them here in the mistaken belief that it's as good a school as its flagship main campus. It isn't nearly as good. Most departments in this degree mill don't have an MFA program or a PhD program. A lot of the lecturer level instructors barely graduated from their masters program here.
Despite its size, this university is a suitcase university that folds up on weekends. Most resident students go home.
Most of the foreign students' grasp of the English Language is better than most of the professors in this department.
If I were still advising, I'd tell them to apply somewhere else. The degree from this mill will be worthless in the U.S. if they choose to stay. I don't think they'll be much better off if they return home and have to compete against others who attended better U.S. universities.
Just sayin'...
